Enter the cedar lined closet!
This cedar scented candle smells delicious! What can I say except that if you like the scent that emanates from a cedar lined chest or closet, you will love this! I’ve lost track of how long it’s been burning, but it’s more than two full days now and there’s still some candle left. It has filled out living room with the delightful woody, foresty scent of cedar. Everyone who enters the room remarks on it, and I think it’s very reasonably priced. The scent is POWERFUL but not overwhelming, just really woody and lovely.

Wet spots/glass adhesion issues
This is somewhat picky but there are so many candles in the black jars with wonderful scents. As soon as I opened the box the first thing i noticed is the label that has the scent âcedarâ listed on it is not put on straight and is crooked. This will drive me crazy because it just looks unbalanced. Upon opening the jar lid, I did not notice any smell and I noticed that the soy wax had begun to pull away from the side of the jar. I had never seen this before and actually googled it as I thought it was old. According to google, this is usually dues to a phenomenon called âwet spotsâ or âglass adhesion issuesâ which happens when the wax contracts as it cools, soy wax is prone to these issues and this often occurs when the jar isn’t preheated before pouring the wax leading to a rapid cooling process. This can be prevented by preheating the jars, pouring at the right temperature, using quality glass or cooling slowly. So this candle has some issues on how it was made. But again this may seem picky to some but if you buy a candle you expect they know how to make it or have some quality control. But we all know we buy candles for the smell and unfortunately, after burning this for several hours I do not smell anything. It just smells like burning wax with a light (when up close) scent of vanilla which is nothing like cedar. Perhaps it was mislabeled as well? Anyways, the fact the candle is separating from the walls of the jar leads me to believe it was not made well or in a proper environment.

Good candle
Iâm happy with this candle. I found the scent enjoyable. Itâs subtle yet noticeable in a large room. Itâs easy to light and burns well. The candle is in a black matte glass with a metal screw top lid. I do recommend, I found it to be a good smelling candle at the right intensity and is a good value at the current price.

Modern look, relaxing feel
I absolutely love this 7oz Black Cedar Soy Candle! The scent is amazingâwarm, woody, and super calming. Itâs not too overpowering, just the right amount to make your whole room feel cozy. Iâve been using it while I relax at night, and it really sets the mood for some peace and quiet. The soy wax burns clean, and I like that it lasts longer than regular candles. Doesn’t really smell like cedar.
I got this specifically because I don’t often see wood scented candles, and I love wood scents. I really miss getting bedding for the barn, having it in my car for a while before getting to the barn, and filling the car with cedar smell (from the cedar shaving bedding). This candle does not smell like that cedar. I don’t know if soy wax changes the smells, but I got another soy wax candle from another seller of another scent, and that one doesn’t smell right either. I’m used to regular candles before all these smokeless, soy, special and different types came out. Maybe this smells just like the chemical version of cedar, we all know those pine scented car hangars don’t actually smell like pine either. I do really like the black jar with the metal, screw on lid, and I’ll definitely reuse this after fully using the candle. I just really wish this smelled like cedar.

Like a walk into a cedar forest

A fantastic smelling candle for aromatherapy!
Very good quality. Cedar and other woodsy scents are my favorite. I love essential oil and especially candles. I actually have another cedarwood candle I was able to compare it to, i paid $40 for it at a boutique shop on vacation last year, and bring it out on special occasions.When i opened this candle, it smelled identical. Pungent, pure, clean cedar scent. I lit the candle after giving the wick a little trim and the flame evenly burned. I let it go for about 30 minutes and after leaving the room and coming back in, well, you guessed it, my living room smelled like a forest. Awesome candle. It barely melted any wax too after it resolidified it looks like it barely evaporated at all. Impressed with the quality.
