They said oil & they meant oil. Thick & slippery. You don’t get a ton, but is warmed nicely
Well, my husband is a professional massage therapist, so I may be reviewing this candle differently than a lot of other people. There’s no false advertising here â this is a made of oils, and what it produces is a very oily, or less poetically, greasy, result. It is not a massage cream that absorbs smoothly and easily into the skin, but a thick and substantial coating that leaves you very slippery. That said, it is a wonderful skin softener. If you don’t like to feel greasy you will hate this! But even once you wash the excess off your skin feels very soft and smooth and smells quite nice. I didn’t notice a wax residue on my skin, but definitely did on the drops on the counter. The candle does work. If you light it for about 15 minutes you will get a small pool of oil â see pictures â that you can dip into for massage or whatever. Not a ton, though. Carefully applied, the result will likely cover back & arms, but the candle will need to be re-lit if you are seeking full body coverage, even for one. Pouring the oil out into the lid solidifies it quickly, but it does seem to stay liquid if left near the wick. Pouring directly into your hand with the candle lit is hot. (Duh!) I took one for the team and checked. It cools off pretty quickly, and it’s going to depend on your own personal heat tolerance level as to how much you yelp, but you’re not supposed to do that and I don’t recommend it. The oil does cool to a usable, pleasant temperature reasonably quickly after the candle has been extinguished. I know there are people who prefer a thick coating of oil for their massage, and if you are one of those, this candle is for you! If you are not, well, it smells nice. And you could probably pour the oil out for other uses if you are imaginative.

Fun massage oil that melts when you light it and acts also as a candle – great scent – comes in a tin can which has a little pouring tip – can turn off easily and without smoke by putting cap back on.The oil itself is very nice and warm and not greasy – perfect for a home spa.
