FINALLY a journal my pre-teen will use!
I’ve bought several different journals over the last couple years and I couldn’t find one that held my daughter’s attention until now. My daughter has general anxiety disorder & ADHD; and the anxiety made a huge increase over the last few months (thanks, COVID) to the point that it’s debilitating & keeping her from “normal” daily activities. I bought this journal as a supplement to her current treatment/therapy & crossed my fingers that she’d actually like it enough to use it.This journal is AMAZING!! When she saw me get it out of the box, she shrugged it off because she expected it to be similar to the regular ol’ journal with boring prompts. I showed her a couple random pages and her interested peaked. The prompts are absolutely pre-teen/teen appropriate and are fun, relaxed activities… things like writing a “break up letter” to your anxiety or having too many browsers open & picking the ones to close and even activities to write your biggest worry on the page, cut it out & stomp on it, grinding it into the hard ground until it shreds. My daughter started using it the day after I bought it. She’s taken the initiative to use it multiple times on her own, without being reminded that it’s available. She even said that it’s way better than all the others because it’s more fun & the prompts are relatable.

What a great book!
Teens these days are certainly anxious. Sound research has established that many children and teens have been deprived of imaginative play, and are paying the price with high levels of anxiety and depression. However, it is difficult to be anxious while playing. Put your Worries Here invites teens (or young adults, even older adults!) to play. — Play with thoughts, ideas, and fears by purposeful doodling, drawing, and creative writing. Lisa Schab welcomes teens into their own private world of imagination, self-awareness and inner peace. Donald Winnicott, a pioneer in play therapy, would surely love her book! As a psychotherapist and mother, I highly recommend it. Nancy Sutherland

A friend gave me this book and I was so taken by how fun and interactive it was I knew I had to get more. I sent it to my daughterbecause she and my granddaughter deal with anxiety. And I bought one for my sister who is a therapist. Hoping she could pass it along to some of her clients. Itâs just light and feel good by taking some of the heaviness and fear out of anxiety. Itâs written for teensbut I donât see why everyone wouldnât get value from this book.

I got one for my son and he asked for another for his friend.
I got this for my 13yo son for Christmas. I was nervous he would hate it and toss it aside. 2 days later he came to me and explained he knows 2 of his friends that could also use this book and asked me to get more. I did right away.

Game Changer!!
I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this. My daughter was set to see someone about her anxiety. In the mean time, I decided to try one more self help book. I fully expected her to reject it. I was so wrong! She’s been using it daily and we already see a more confident girl! Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

I recently purchased this Journal for my 13 year old daughter & she absolutely loves it! Instead of a diary or journal with blank pages, it’s more like a guided journal with a variety of activities to help with normal pre-teen & teen worries, anxieties & streses. As a parent, I don’t always know the right thing to say to help my daughter with teen stresses, and kids don’t want to get advice from their parents, I love how this journal guides them through the topics AND reminds them that these issuees are 100% NORMAL! Fantastic!
