Distressed leather, or call “crazy horse leather”, has a rustic feeling. At the beginning, it is easy to have some scratches on the surface which are easy to get removed by hands. With times and usage, the surface will gradually become a smoothing, shining and gives the leather a very nice vintage look. Each Journal notebook come with 3 refillable insert and 1 pvc pouch/card holder. You can add everything from your adventures or your daily thoughts into the books inside. The best part is, everything inside is exchangeable! You can keep refilling the paper books while keep the same beautiful leather cover. It is a wonderful gift for a traveler or writer.

My Perfect Pocket Journal
I started carrying around a small, paper journal with me wherever I go some time over twenty years ago, and after all these years, I finally found my ideal journal!The cover really is leather, and considering the lack of care Iâve shown it, it likes great. The box it comes in makes it feel like youâve spent money. The quality of the paper is high enough that gel pens donât leak through to the other side. You can barely even see that the other side of the page has been written on without holding it up to the light!!I love that itâs refillableâas much as I enjoy my collection of retired journals, I look forward to not having to buy a brand new one thatâs slightly different and slightly less good in some way.I love the clear zipper pocket where I can not only put a piece of paper but can also see it so I remember itâs there!I love the size, the elastic closure, the three different types of paper (lined, blank, and craft), the heft and feel of it. I love that it really looks quite good for having been kicking it around in my bottomless pocketbook for a couple months, where itâs done battle with pens, bottles, knitting, and all manner of electronics.The only cons:1. Pen Slot: I have not yet figured out ideal pen placement (to ensure that my pen is always with my journal), but I probably need to break out a mini-pen that I bought for previous journals.2. Place-mark: thereâs no attached ribbon allowing you to easily find your place, but it will probably be easy to attach a bit of ribbon to the elastic closures that keep the notebooks in place.3. The Brass Plaque: I donât like the âwhere thereâs a will thereâs a wayâ saying on it, you canât pick other sayings, and I donât have the means to clip the metal at the holes to remove it. So I keep it on the back of the journal. In the scheme of things, this is beyond not a big deal, but this journal is so awesome that itâs my biggest complaint.

Love this thing! Well made has room for three notebooks but I donât care if the notebook comes out so i managed to shove a fourth one in there. One less star because the cover does get scratched very very easily (you could scratch it with your nail) because of the material but I donât really care gives it character but beware of that if youâre expecting sleek leather. Overall love it I donât think youâll regret this purchase. Love the dark maroon color scratches to a lighter red. The 8 x 4 is the perfect size

I like this for the most part. The red color isn’t a bright red or anything, but not as deep as maybe a wine or maroon red.The cover feels fine, it comes with all the inserts plus a cute postcard and bookmark. It’s definitely the same size as the tctn cover, so you can use their inserts in this.The paper inserts are staple-bound, so that the elastic might not like that. The paper itself feels very normal? It’ll hold most of your pens alright, so long as you’re not using insane inks or stamps.My only very personal gripe is that the elastic that goes around the cover is actually one giant elastic that also keeps the inserts in. So if you wanted to unravel the elastic to customize it, it wouldn’t be the easiest. It’s not impossible, but it’s secured pretty well. A shame, because I had some charms I wants to slide on there.But if you don’t care about that, it’s absolutely fine.
