The Art of Travel Journal by Abby Sy is an informative read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Abbey does a great job explaining the steps required to create a travel journey. Her writing style is explicit and succinct. She balances the amount of information provided and the selection of topics that a beginner in this type of journaling needs to begin their own project.

Very Disappointing
This is a beautifully present book with disappointing contents.A lot of this book seems to be a list os terms, supplies, prompts. Among other suggestions that Abbey Sy makes is using a typewriter — hardly a practical suggestion for traveling journalist. She never gets into issues like how much time sketching takes while traveling and the effect on fellow travelers as the traveler journalist pauses to capture a scene.This might be helpful for the absolute novice. It’s a beautifully presented book but really light on helpful tips for the somewhat experienced travel journalist.Beautiful but extremely basic and not particularly focused on the practicalities of being a travel journalist.
