Much better than I expected
I was on the fence on this for a while. Finally decided to give it a shot. I canât believe how much better it is than I expected. If you are a journal person like me you will love this. I love not looking ahead in the book so that everyday is a surprise workout. The descriptions are good and there are online videos they link to if you need more help. I like how you can customize the workouts to your level, less or more reps/sets and/or modifications. I like trying to do a couple more reps each time I see an exercise. On busy days I break each workout in half. The info included on habit building is excellent too. Iâm surprised how much more I have stuck with this instead of videos or classes.

Fun self guided workouts
This is the perfect workout journal for anyone who is a self starter and a homebody. Guided workouts with QR codes connecting you to videos that demonstrate the exercises. Itâs fun to look back to see your progress. Itâs definitely habit forming and easy to follow

Overall a good investment to incorporate strength training into my life. Recommend.
Been using it only a week. Not getting to it every day, but have done 4 workouts.I like the spiral bound format. Arrived in perfect shape, plastic wrapped.Exercises are easy to follow using the instructions in the back of the book and the videos/instructions accessed by using the QR code. For me, thusfar, I’ve seen videos for some of these QR codes and written text/images for some. Either has been sufficient for me to understand what I need to do safely and with good form. Probably helps that I have some history of working out/lifting.I have found that there is one exercise for most workouts that either doesn’t make sense to me or I don’t do for another reason. I just skip it, still working the muscles indicated well. For example, curtsy lunges are not safe for my knees, so I didn’t do them. In that case, I chose to do standard lunges, so was able to adapt the workout to work for me.Five Stars for customer service. Embedded in the book is an email address to send to for a bonus gift. The email address didn’t work, so I emailed customer service asking if they could honor the gift. Got a reply back in a few hours, got the gift. What would make me give it 5 stars?Videos for all exercises (not just written with pictures).More space to write things down – for example, I mentioned above that I substituted standard lunges for curtsy lunges and wanted to note that, not much room to do so.More space somehow to document other exercise. There is a small space for documenting cardio on same day as bodyweight strength training, but I’d like to be able to add cardio/yoga etc to off days as well.Less “no mercy always work out” rhetoric at the beginning. I can certainly take that with a grain of salt, I’ve worked out before and am a grown up, but I can see that it might be off putting for someone new and struggling to keep up.I did purchase this in a package with the dumbell workouts book. That looks to be similar, and I’m looking forward to moving on to that book after completing this book. All together, for me, that’s about a year of strength training, and I love that I can track it and see where I came from. In fact, I expect to circle back to this book after finishing both and do more reps/more sets, which will continue to build on what I’ve done.Would overall recommend, especially if you’ve done some strength training in the past and do not have any pre-existing injuries. Definitely want to work with PT or a good doctor/NP/PA to work around active injuries, but that is true for any workout regimen.

A worthy buy!
This journal has broken down each daily workout into manageable sets, provided education and encouragement. I look forward to using it every day! This is a great product!

Good for beginners
I’m getting back into working out again after a few years but didn’t want to be chained to a tv screen or gym membership so I went with this set. I love the book and the cards are wonderful. All the exercises are clearly pictured and easy to follow. The first week has you working on only 2 body parts per day which I like since I’m a beginner all over again! The book progresses nicely and has a few different workout levels to pick from. It also comes with an app to keep you on track. I’d definitely buy this one again!!

Great mix of exercise and easy to follow grouping of exercise. Seeing and feeling results already!

Focuses More on Visual Results Than Health Benefits
I was reading through the journal and realized it was hyper focused on âgetting cutâ and âleaning outâ- which is awesome, but for someone who isnât intrinsically or primarily motivated by this as my result, the informational part of the book could have been better. Iâd have liked to read more of the science of forming habits, the neurological benefits of having a healthy BMI, the ways endurance training helps cognitive function, etc. it felt like I was reading an article from Cosmo rather than a habit-forming journal. With that said, the exercises themselves were great. The section that illustrates form and the importance of form was helpful if I was a beginner. Overall, Iâm pleased with my purchase and itâs helped me form solid habits but in terms of content, itâs lacking a bit. Worth it? Yes.

Great for getting started
This is great book for those getting started. Easy to read, motivating, goal oriented and no judgment! Go at your own pace and feel the difference.

The actual content of the book may be good, but the quality of the binding is very low. I ordered a copy and it arrived broken – the cover was completely torn away from the pages. I returned it and ordered a new copy. The new copy arrived damaged as well, as you can see in the picture. It was for a gift, so itâs completely useless to me in this condition. For the price, I would expect a product that isnât falling apart from the start.

I ordered this book 3 times. The first one I received the spine on the book was completely detached. I returned for a refund assuming it was damaged in transit. Stuff happens. I re-orderedâ¦the second was apparently âundeliverableâ so it was returned by the carrier. I re-ordered. Again. The third one looks like the photosâ¦.dirty, absolutely no coverâ¦.so I am guessing itâs the first one I ordered with the broken spine!?!? Terrible terrible. Whoever packed this to ship out needs glasses and a whole bag of common sense.
