Smells Rich
This Preston Lane Candle looks and feels Lux. It is packaged well, in an attractive box. I love the scent name – ‘Terrace View’ I lit it while in my office and evoked my best terrace view vibes. It smells rich and medium-strong, a lovely scent that one might describe as more masculine than feminine but I’ll call it money. Burns evenly, yay!

Not the fragrance I expected but still nice
This scented candle is an interesting one – the fragrance is really not what I would have expected from the description. I’d say this is a candle for people who like to be subtle about scented candles. I chose the Doheny Drive candle because I love citrus scents. The candle arrives in a nice box, but does not have a lid. Instead it has a little plastic covering. I would have appreciated a real lid at this price point personally. The Doheny Drive scent is supposed to smell primarily of grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, rose, and musk. I detect almost none of that from the actual fragrance. Perhaps my expectations were that the fragrance notes would be more overtly obvious, and this candle is more on the subtle, suggestive side of that description. In any case, I do like the fragrance – I’d describe it as suggestive of a calm, sophisticated home fragrance that is neutral and probably inoffensive. The strength of the fragrance when burned is pretty mild, and dissipates pretty quickly when the candle stops burning. One unquestionably good thing about this candle is that it burns super cleanly: both wicks melt the entire candle surface perfectly with no tunneling, and no smoke. This candle didn’t really meet my expectations so I wouldn’t get it again, but perhaps it would be good for someone who likes their fragrances nuanced, mild, and unobtrusive.

Smells Good Butâ¦
It smells nice. After you take it out of the box thereâs just a piece of plastic – which you will obviously discard – stuck on the top. It feels like if you donât use all of the candle in short order, all the scent will just evaporate away. That lack of âput it away until next timeâ storage capability does not work for me.

Smells amazing
I havenât tried any of the other scents but I love the Mayfair! Itâs a nice neutral balance, not too feminine or masculine. The packaging is very nice and fancy. The candle itself is sleek, giving an elegant look. Itâs burns well giving off a nice scent. This candle is very well made. With the look and the elegant scent, this would make for a great gift or something nice for your own place!!

Great packaging, Great smell, pricey
This candle has very tasteful packaging, so it could be used as a gift if desired. I like the sleek black exterior which goes with many types of decor. The scent is strong enough to notice, but not overpowering, just how I like it. The wax burns down evenly ensuring that there are no issues with wicks getting burried in the wax. The scent is very pleasant and even, a good blend of citrus and spice. I do feel that it is a bit overpriced for the size of the candle. I would expect to pay around $15 for a candle of this size, not double that.
