Glad to get this hard-to-find size
2 years ago, I bought a set of notebooks and a sturdy cover at a local store. It was the perfect size (notebooks were 4″ wide by 7-1/4″ tall & you could put up to 3 of them in the sturdy leatherette cover. But when I went to get a new set of inserts the followingvyear, the company had discontinued the line, and I had a hard time finding even a blank notebook of that size. More standard sizes were bigger and bulkier. I got a few of the 8″ by 5″ size & laboriously cut them down to size & made my own schedule template, but the paer was thinner (& it’s hard to cut an entire notebook down evenly). These notebooks fit are slightly bigger (4″ x 7.5″) but fit the cover easily. The paer is lovely-no bleed-through from my fountain pen or my gel pen. They are lined, not set up as a template for use as a schedler, but I’ve hapily drawn my own template, and they fit the bill. The original inserts had the paper stitched together, whereas these are stapled, and these have kraft paper type covers, while the originals had a heavier weight, smooth finished paper cover–but these will fit the bill just fine. I ordered one set, to test, and then ordered 3 more so that I have refills for a while!

These were just the size I needed for the journal cover I needed it for. The covers a brown paper bag and beige colored sheets are really nice and old looking like I wanted. I really like them.
