Perfect!
Love, love, love this journal, and I bought it to fill with birds.The pages are a great size, not too small nor too big.Thereâs a ribbon inside to hold your place.The pages easily tear out when an artist needs/wants to remove a work.But the thing I like best of all is the paper inside this book! It can take plenty of water without buckling. It withstands scratching off. Paint on both sides. Nicely textured. Perfect thickness. The book also has an elastic which hold it shut. Iâm so impressed with the paper Iâm switching from my 300lb Arches to this brand, Tumuarta.

This is the best!
I absolutely love this journal. The linen cover is very classy. The paper is beautifully textured and a perfect weight. Watercolor paints flow nicely and look gorgeous on this paper. It holds the right amount of water so that wet-on-wet techniques donât cause buckling. And the watercolor paints donât bleed through the paper. I love the square size because it gives me flexibility for digital cropping. I will definitely purchase this again.

Great quality Art Journal
Made well, just enough pages. Watercolor paper is great, love painting and journaling on it. I use it for art journaling with; paint, gouache, Mod Podge, stickers, colored pencils, sketching . Holds up to everything. I love the elastic closure band & the pocket in the back. I have purchased several now.

Love the square size!
Do not worry about the fact that this sketchbook has only 25% cotton paper. That doesnât mean as much as many people believe. Iâve used 100% cotton watercolor sketchbooks before that donât hold a candle to this book. I think it has to do with the sizing and the paper blend. I use Daniel Smith watercolors and I created a test page as soon with this paint, as soon as I got it delivered and I was amazed at how much more vibrant the colors turned out on this paper versus Canson and Paul Rubenâs paper. Also granulation shows up really well which I love!To be honest, I am so in love with the large square size it comes in. That was one of the main reasons that I bought this Tumuarta sketchbook. I had bought it in other sizes before but that was quite a while back so I was again impressed with the fine quality.With the square size you can do both portrait and landscape style, if you wanted to, but I love sticking to the square format with my artwork. Itâs perfect for art journaling, urban paintings, flowers and lots more. I also enjoy creating fancy lettering with my daily sketches. You can be so creative with the layout of each page.You just canât go wrong with this book. I am going to order another one soon. The pocket in the back is a nice touch and I love the fabric cover. It prevents it from slipping out of your hands.

Good quality.
I bought this so I could start a water color journal. I like that the pages are nice and thick so the colors donât bleed through. Even if I put tape on the pages they held up very well when the tape was removed. Iâm not a professional but for someone who paints as a hobby this is wonderful.

Disappointed…
First the good. Beautiful sketchbook, nice thick paper, does not buckle. However, wet on wet does not work very well.Paper dries very quickly and paint does not really absorb into the paper. I am disappointed and will probably use this for wet on dry and color mixing exercises.
