Ingredients Matter
Of the 43 frankincense trees each produce a resin containing slightly different components, and the end product varies greatly. There are only 4 that produce inflammation reducing true frankincense: boswellia sacra (syn. boswellia carteri), boswellia frereana, boswellia serrata (Indian frankincense), and boswellia papyrifera. We’ve considered all of these true frankincense resins for our Healing Balm but we selected boswellia serrata for one important factor. Its sustainability.
Sustainability Audited
Boswellia serrata is native to much of the Punjab region in Northern India. This region manages a sustainable long-term source of frankincense resins according to a third-party audit by Botanical Liaisons, LLC (Boulder, CO) who undertook a sustainability audit of Indian boswellia serrata gum resin harvesting and collection practices. Their audit report verified the long term sustainability of Boswellia Serrata supply in India.
Frankincense and myrrh trees thrive in this region because of governmental economic incentives, the long lifespan of boswellia serrata trees and resin harvesting training programs supported by industry and government. They have a mindset of encouraging boswellia serrata and commiphora myrrha tree regeneration, and actually have created a tree surplus.
Synergy of Frankincense & Myrrh
There are many intriguing frankincense and myrrh research studies completed for nerve pain relief and daily uses like oral care, underarm hygiene, rash relief, and accelerated wound healing. Most of the studies on frankincense and myrrh focus on independent research, but recent studies demonstrate when used together they have a synergistic effect. After the combination forms a blend, a series of changes take place in their chemical composition, such as the emergence of new chemical components. At the same time, the pharmacological effects of the combination seem magically powerful, such as synergistic anti-inflammation, synergistic analgesic and synergistic blood-activation, and so on.
Fewer Ingredients Are More
Wise Men is very temperature sensitive. It often melts and reforms on a hot delivery truck so the form can be unusual sometimes. It could be liquefied if it’s hot. It could be solid as a rock if it’s cold. There could be an air bubble underneath the surface. Don’t be concerned. This is because Wise Men is unrefined, organic, and basically as minimally processed as possible. In either form Wise Men performs the same. We don’t dilute our time-tested ancient recipe with chemical ingredients that come from a laboratory with hard to pronounce names. To formulate a convenient cream we would need to add humectants, to sponge up and retain the water through the products shelf life; preservatives, to eliminate mold and bacteria growing during shelf life; and emulsifiers, for blending the water, oils, preservatives, humectants and active ingredients together. To properly formulate a smooth cream, our ingredient count will go to possibly twenty instead of the powerful three we use in our recipe.

Nice Effective healing balm cream
Update: This works almost as well as the expensive brand vitality frankincense. However, when you open the jar, it looks like a hard chunk of candlewax. What I do is a microwave about 2 inches of hot water. Then after ( Don’t microwave the jar Set it in the hot water afterwards) Get the water really hot and then I set the jar keeping lid Closed down inside there with a little saucer plate over top of the jar to hold it down ( as it floates up) in the water for about 20 minutes or less. And then when you take the lid off. Be careful because it’s kind of like a creamy lotion. A LITTLE bit goes a long ways and within about 10 minutes. If your pain is on the scale of 1 to 10 an 10 being the worst, it takes it down to about a 4 to 5. An that my friends is the 100% honest truth. If it did not work. I would definitely say so. Last last for about 15 minutes. Sometimes 30 before you’d have to reapply. If you’re in a lot a pain. But I think once you get enough of it soaked into your skin, it will last longer as your skin is porous. An Acts like a sponge so absorbs pretty much anything you put on it. I’ve had a bad knee replacement & tried everything you could Name as far ar balms & pain relief creams nothing has worked for pain. Hubby has had multiple rotator cuff surgeries & same situation for him. Nothing has worked. A friend told us about this & we tried it. Well within 30 minutes on a 1 to 10 scale. 10 being the worst, it took it down the pain down to a 5 or 6, so this does work. Frankincense was back in the days of Jesus because they work , when it’s the real deal. This is good! It is not greasy. You put a little on and it starts to melt into your skin and a little bit goes a long way. You don’t need to put it in a fridge or or dont need to heat it up. Your body Temperature melts it, to exactly how it’s supposed to be. I do recommend it!

Very Pleased
I was pleased that this product worked really quickly on one area I’ve had issues with. I started applying it to the back of my knee and leg area where I have had an injury for a long time and it has made a very quick Improvement. I have another area on my shoulder that is notorious for taking a very long time to heal. I receive laser therapy for this regularly. I’ve been applying this product to that area as well and it has made improvements. Very pleased.

A little greasy
I have neuropathy issues with my hands and the winter time is the worst. They hurt and they look like they hurt. So I am always hunting for a miracle cream and when I read about Frankenstein and myrrh I found this. It is a balm so it is a solid that melts in the warmth of your hand. It feels nice and has made a little difference on my hands but it is a little on the greasy side so Ill admit I haven’t used it as much as I’d hoped. I usually put it on before I put gloves on.

Do not soften inn microwave
I live in a very cold climate right now and my product was almost impossible to apply as a balm because is was so hard. I read the entire fold out label, which said I could soften it in the microwave. It should not offer that as a solution, as the label has “foil” on it and when I put it in the microwave, it almost started on fire, with a lot of sparks and arcing. I know if I spoon it out I have to carefully rub it into an area without it crumbling to the ground. Then it softens completely and I can rub it in. I’ll let you know if my hip and wrist pain improves after using it.

Smells delightful
I have learned that frankincense and myrrh are effective in treating pain. I thought I would try this product to see if this one worked as well as another product I had tried. I was not disappointed. This comes , depending on the weather, as a solid or a creamy ointment. It was cooler here so it was a solid when it arrived but was easy to use with the warmth of my fingers. Later I was carrying it in a pocket next to my skin and it turned liquidy. I found it works on my sciatica and knee pain. The instructions that come with it suggest using it up-to 4 times a day. Massaging it in is, to me comforting and relaxing and may contribute to lessen of my pain. Each of us are individuals and may find this helpful. To me it was money well spent. The jar does come with more information and details. Best wishes.

GREAT PAIN RELIEF!!!
This product is amazing!!! I’d give it 10 stars if I could. It won’t heal you of course, and it can’t produce a miracle, but the pain relief is pretty much instant, and very effective. I’d say it last a good solid 4-5hrs. There’s only 3 ingredients. It can be applied as often and as much as you want. It’s worth every single penny!!!

So, first I will sort of explain what’s happening to me. Then I’ll talk about how it helps and why.So, it all started 2 years ago for me. I was sleeping and all of a sudden I woke up with my hands numb like crazy. I thought that I had just fallen asleep on them and I would be fine. But when it didn’t go away for 20 minutes I knew something was t right. However, I just let it go for a week. After a week of my hands going numb while in deep sleep I started to worry. Like, this is not going away not is this normal. I thought it had something to do with my body not being able to process any vitamins. I’m also anemic so I thought it might be that. Turns out it’s not. So,a week and a half goes by and I shot up out of bed crying. Now it wasn’t just numb. It was hurting so bad I thought my thumb and index finger were cut right out. It literally felt like my thumb and first finger had been sliced off. That’s how bad it hurts and I’m not exaggerating. Like the worst pain ever and I’ve given birth. It’s worse than that. All I could do was put my hand on the knee and leave it there while I rocked back and forth crying. It was numb and I couldn’t finger out why it’s doing what it’s doing. I was so scared. I thought maybe I had a blockage in my arm? Like am I going to have a heart attack? I was terrified! So I went to the doctor. I got all kinds of tests, nothing. In the long run my doctor said I have neuropathy. I think it’s my neck? The pharmacy technician told me that’s what it could be so I go tell my doc that. He sends me for a test. Tells me we will talk about this next time but you do have a problem with the neck but it’s not an emergency or anything. It’s nothing we can fix. So the next appointment comes up and I mentioned this. He then tells me, no, you have nothing wrong with the neck. I’m confused at this point. So if it’s not the neck WHY DO I HAVE NEUROPATHY AND WHERE IS IT COMING FROM?? It’s been two years now and I still don’t have those answers. All I know is at night after I sleep, like maybe 2 or 3 hours in I will then wake up and my hands will be so bloody sort it’s unbelievable. It’s at the point now where it’s shooting up my arm and I didn’t know what to do. I tried CBD. I tried all kinds of rubs. I even tried the pain Pills and I don’t want to be like that. Last thing I want is to get hooked on that stuff. I don’t want to die. I love myself so I’m NOT taking that road! Ever! My best friend died in my arms because of that shi…. Stuff…so anyways, I ended up trying all the rubs I could find. I tried it for 1 week. If it helped I would try for two weeks. (2 rubs I had work for a week and a half but stopped working) I also tried something called Nervive and that does help BUT it’s a pill ð I don’t want pills!!! At all!! But I had to I was in so so much pain and didn’t want anything that got me stoned or whatever. So I do take gabapentin 300s but like I said, I don’t like taking that stuff. So once again I’m back at looking for rubs. So, after 2 years of trying different things and having it get worse and worse, I tried this rub.So, with this rub it doesn’t take all the pain away BUT it takes away enough of the pain where I can finally go back to sleep! It’s been months that I haven’t had a good schedule because I can’t sleep. That’s rough. So with this rub I’m hoping to get that schedule back. It’s been a week and it’s working still. If anything changes and it stops working I will come back and update. But for now this IS working. It doesn’t take all the pain away but I do think logically. I know that NOTHING is going to take all the pain away. So like, I knew it wasn’t going to take it all away but I am surprised it’s working at all because no rub has worked yet. So, if you have neuropathy in your hands , your hands go numb with pain and then your thumb and first finger feel like it’s been severed then try this rub. It could work.If it doesn’t just gift it to someone with pain. Give them a sample. If it works give them all of it. Just don’t give the full jar to anyone. First give them some and see if it helps. Because chances are you will find someone that could use it.

I use it as a moisturizer especially in the winter. It is really dry here in the north and my old body has enough issues, I don’t need excessively dry skin on top of that. I’ve tried many creams to deal with the dry skin, some work, most don’t, so I’m always looking for something better. So this is my new favourite cream especially considering the essential oils it contains because I’m receiving the other benefits that I wasn’t looking for in the beginning. Works for me! Definitely recommend.
