I Love This Journal!
I was pleasantly surprised to receive an actual leather journal, not the faux stuff! This journal is buttery soft medium weight leather which should last a long time. I wanted to create my own watercolor sketchbook with 100% cotton paper, and this journal has enabled me to do it at a fraction of the cost of others out there. I cut my paper to size, used one of the included pages as a template to mark holes, punched the holes and put the pages into the binder. The vinyl pouch holds a couple of water brushes, a pencil, and a roll of washi tape. The generous pocket in the back allows me to slip in a small watercolor set, and the front pocket holds a small palette and some tissues. Finally, the pen loop holds my Platinum Preppy fountain pen perfectly. Voila! Art on the go! And I love that I can remove or rearrange my pages, which is impossible in a bound sketchbook. When I fill this one, Iâll just transfer the pages to a cheap A5 binder and add fresh ones. I love it! All of the art supplies in the photos fit into this journal and the whole thing is about the size and thickness of a chunky clutch purse. Incredibly happy with this find!

Durable, Nice Looking, and Functional
I purchased this notebook to serve as a commonplace book. That means it travels with me everywhere, most often in a backpack where it gets smashed, bent, and abused in various ways. I have owned it for exactly one year, and it has held up beautifully. The binder rings are still tight. I have had trouble with the rings separating on other binders. I highly recommend investing in this binder if you want a durable and flexible journal.

I like it, but…
I do like the size, color and feel of this refillable journal. For one thing, the size keeps me from doing my impression of a frustrated court reporter when I am taking notes on a talk or at an assembly or convention, because I have only so much space to write in this smaller, A6 size. Having said that, I am still not sure that this is real, from-a-cow-type leather, which is what it was represented to be. If it truly is, than the price is great, but if not, then the price is actually on the high side as far as I am concerned. I prefer actual leather because it holds up so much better to being carried around, dropped, stuffed into a bag or purse, and put to the use for which such things are made.

Ooooh, I love it!
I had good feelings about this notebook and I was right! Very good quality, beautiful and sturdy. Genuine leather, firm snap button closure that’ll stay closed, handy pockets inside, a flexible plastic ruler and plastic zipper pouch for pencils too. Came with 5 dividers and a pen as well (and the pen writes smoothly–bonus!) I ordered different refill paper for it because I don’t like dotted paper…that’s the one very minor thing I wished was different, that it came with lined or blank paper instead. Obviously not a big deal for how nice it is. Like I said, I ordered the kind of paper I prefer for it.Oh, and I’m very pleased that when you open it, it lays/stays flat and isn’t stiff. I’m very happy with this purchase.
